Barry and Karen Thompson retired to Edgefield county with the intention of providing a comfortable place away from the urgencies and demands of everyday life for those who need mental rest and refreshment.

Barry is a retired physician and Karen a retired nurse. They have been married for over 50 years, during which time they raised three sons and helped nurture six grandchildren. They have counseled many and, when needed, have invited others to live in their home with them. They are happy and active in their home church.

 Karen’s gift is cooking and Barry enjoys gardening vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
